Program Overview

MSc without Thesis in Financial Mathematics

The MSc without Thesis in Financial Mathematics program requires students to complete at least 30 credit units of coursework, seminar, and research methods and ethics units. In addition to this, students must prepare and successfully defend a term project. The expected duration to complete the program is 3 semesters.

For students who are required to take the Scientific Preparation program, the required courses are:

• IAM530 Elements of Probability and Statistics
• IAM527 Advanced Calculus and Integration (or MATH250)
• IAM591 Programming Techniques in Applied Mathematics I
• IAM592 Programming Techniques in Applied Mathematics II

Scientific Preparation Program Requirements

• To pass the scientific preparation program successfully, students should get at least a CB grade in all SP courses.
• These courses may be partially kept compulsory based on undergraduate background.
