Introduction to the University Program
The Middle East Technical University (ODT‹) is offering a unique opportunity for high school students to explore the creative and innovative fields of engineering through its Engineering Summer School. The program, conducted under the slogan "ODT‹'de Geleceini Yaz," aims to provide students with an interdisciplinary perspective while offering hands-on experience in advanced technology laboratories.
Program Details
The Engineering Summer School includes a course titled "NANO 101: Nanomaterials and Electron Microscopes." This practical course, hosted by ODT‹'s Central Laboratory (MERLAB), will be led by Prof. Dr. Burcu Akata KurÁ, the President of ODT‹ MERLAB, and Prof. Dr. Y. Eren Kalay, a faculty member of the Metallurgy and Materials Science Department and the Summer School Coordinator.
- Students participating in this course will have the opportunity to:
- Learn the fundamental principles of nanotechnology
- Familiarize themselves with nanomaterials used in engineering
- Observe atomic-level structures using electron microscopes
Objective and Participation
ODT‹'s Central Laboratory is pleased to be part of this program, which aims to support students' scientific curiosity and introduce them to research culture at an early age.
