The Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences offers a Ph.D. program in City and Regional Planning.
Program Details
The program requires the following:
- DEGREE: Ph.D.
- METU EPE: 70
- ALES: 60
- B.S. CGPA: 3.0 L or 3.5 YL
- M.S. CGPA: 3.0 L or 3.5 YL
- ANNOTATIONS:
- ALES score type must be quantitative.
- Candidates should check the ALES-GRE (old
ew) conversion chart. - Reference Letter (2) is required.
- Letter of intention (included in the online form) is required.
- Academic writing sample (minimum 1000 words) is required.
- Portfolio (projects, reports carried out during BSc) is required.
- Interview is required.
- Candidates should have a B.S. or M.S. degree, with at least one degree in City and Regional Planning Department or related tracks.
- M.S. Degree from a program with thesis or approval from the thesis jury is required.
- M.S. Thesis (the one submitted to the thesis jury is acceptable) is required.
- Thesis research proposal (1500-2000 words) is required.
- Publication list and publication portfolio are required.
- Conditional acceptance is not allowed.
