Introduction to the CCE Cooperative Program and Double Degree Program in Industrial Design

The CCE Cooperative Program and Double Degree Program in Industrial Design is a Chinese-foreign cooperative education program approved by the Ministry of Education. It is jointly carried out by Beijing University of Chemical Technology and University of Genoa (UNIGE). The corresponding major of UNIGE for the Program is Product and Nautical Design (industrial design).

About UNIGE

UNIGE is one of the oldest universities in Europe and a famous comprehensive public university in Italy. It has five departments, including Engineering, Natural Sciences, Medicine, Social Sciences, and Humanities, covering 280 disciplines. UNIGE enjoys a high international reputation in architecture (design), oceanography, medicine, engineering, economics, law, and many other research fields.

Study Mode and Degree

The training mode of the Program is 4 + 0, with all four-year courses studied in China. Students who complete their studies and achieve the required results will receive a bachelor's degree of Industrial Design from BUCT and a bachelor's degree of Product and Nautical Design from UNIGE.

Recruitment Capacity and Tuition

• Recruitment Capacity: 30 students
• Tuition: RMB 60,000 per year (for four years in China)

Recruitment Criteria

The Program is a planned unified enrollment program, with students directly applying for the Program when applying for their intended university programs. The admission criteria shall be those for the first batch of undergraduate recruitments in the national unified recruitment plan.

Talent Training Achievements

The School of International Education (SIE) attaches great importance to the cultivation of students' innovation ability, with a complete excellent innovation training system. SIE students have won numerous international and national prizes in discipline competitions or innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and have published academic papers in domestic and foreign professional journals.

International Curriculum System and Teaching Methods

Guided by the learning-centered and outcome-based methodology, SIE has introduced nearly 100 foreign specialized courses and carried out a series of teaching innovations, including project-based teaching, blended teaching, flipped classroom, and research teaching.

International Exchanges and Social Practices

The School regularly holds lectures of foreign experts, international cultural festivals, Chinese and foreign student exchange meetings, English corner, Italian cultural salon, summer holiday international exchange programs, and other activities, allowing students to fully experience foreign cultures and exercise their cross-cultural communication skills.
