The Summer School of Russian as a Foreign Language at St. Petersburg State University (SPbU) offers a unique opportunity to explore the cultural capital of Russia while enhancing language skills. Form of Study

The Summer School provides two formats of study:

• Full-time: in classrooms
• Online using ICT (Information and Communication Technology)

These formats are available only for organized groups of 10 persons or more.

Program Details

The Russian Language Summer School at St. Petersburg University is designed to provide a comprehensive educational and cultural experience. Cultural Program

The cultural program includes excursions and walks around iconic places in Saint Petersburg, conducted in English for groups at levels A0 to A2 and in Russian for those at level B1. The route passes through the Winter Palace, Kazan Cathedral, Saint Isaac's Cathedral, the Peter and Paul Fortress, and many other picturesque places in the historical part of the city.

Participation in the Summer School is available in organized groups of 10 people, formed according to the level of proficiency in Russian.

The program is offered in two formats: offline and online, with options for a 2-week or 3-week course.

Offline Format

• 2-week course: 72 hours total, including 50 hours of face-to-face learning
• 3-week course: 105 hours total, including 75 hours of face-to-face learning
• Comprehensive lessons in practical Russian in the classroom
• Excursions and walks around the main sights of Saint Petersburg
• Communication with native speakers SPbU students
• Comfortable accommodation in one of the SPbU dormitories (available for an additional fee)

Tuition Fee for Offline Format

• 28,000 for the 2-week course
• 36,000 for the 3-week course
• The fee includes: training, excursion program, entrance testing, transfer from the airport and back, educational materials, migration support

Online Format

• 2-week course: 72 hours total, including 50 hours of face-to-face learning
• 3-week course: 105 hours total, including 75 hours of face-to-face learning
• Interactive Russian language lessons conducted in a game format, utilizing modern teaching methods and computer technologies
• Extensive cultural and excursion program incorporating computer technologies

• The fee includes: training, virtual excursion program, entrance testing, educational materials in electronic format
