Course Description
The course focuses on the processing of customer and patient data in the production of welfare services, including social and health care, education, and rescue services. Students will learn about the relevant legislation and requirements for data processing in these fields.
Objectives
- The student will understand the legislation and requirements for processing customer and patient data in welfare services.
- The student will be able to apply the legislation and requirements in various situations.
- The course will increase the student's ability to work in demanding management and expert tasks in social and health care, education, and rescue services.
Implementation
The course includes compulsory lectures and exercises (16 hours) and a written exam based on the lecture materials and literature. The lectures will be held on the Joensuu campus, and students on the Kuopio campus can participate via video link. There will be two exam dates after the lectures.
Recommended Background
For students other than those studying law (HTK/HTM, ON/OTM), it is recommended to complete the course "Oikeustieteen perusteet" (Basics of Law) before participating in this course.
Schedule
The course will be held as daytime teaching.
Language
The course will be taught in Finnish.
Fees
The course fee is 100 (VAT 0%). The fee includes the right to study, teaching, and exam. The course fee must be paid when registering for the course.
