Osteopathic Medicine Pathway Program
The Osteopathic Medicine Pathway Program (OMPP) is an exclusive program offered in partnership with Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. This program is designed for NMSU first-year freshmen who are interested in becoming doctors and are committed to serving the southwest region, bringing healthcare access and excellence to an underserved population.
Program Details
During the OMPP, students will have the opportunity to:
- Work with a mentor
- Interact with physicians, educators, and students from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine
- Receive other exclusive benefits only available to OMPP students
The program is designed to hone students' passion as future physicians, with a focus on osteopathic medicine. Osteopathic medicine is a holistic approach to patient care, considering the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the patient.
