The New Mexico Technology Assistance Program (NMTAP)

The New Mexico Technology Assistance Program (NMTAP) offers free services to New Mexicans with disabilities to help them get the Assistive Technology (AT) they need. Our program is designed to meet the requirements of the AT Act of 2004.


Services Provided by NMTAP

  • Education and training in the use of assistive technology
  • Device re-utilization
  • Equipment demonstrations and loan of equipment (try before you buy)
  • Financial loan program for assistive technology
  • On-site farm visits to assist in identifying strategies to assist farmers and ranchers with disabilities participate in home and work life

New Mexico AgrAbility Project

The New Mexico AgrAbility Project provides services to farmers and ranchers with disabilities. The project is part of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) at New Mexico State University.
