New Mexico State University Otero County Extension Master Gardener Program
The Otero County Extension Master Gardener Program is designed for individuals with an interest in gardening, a desire to learn, and a desire to serve their community.
Program Overview
The Master Gardener training course is open to the general public, 18 years and older. The 13-week online course provides weekly lectures and question-and-answer sessions with instructors. The online format allows participants flexibility to fit the program into their schedule.
Certification and Membership
After successfully completing the course, participants are eligible to join the Otero County Master Gardener Association and be certified by the New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Service. To remain an active member, participants must volunteer 30 hours of service to their community each year thereafter.
