Program Overview
CCDM-DEVELOPMENTAL MATHEMATICS (CCDM)
The CCDM-DEVELOPMENTAL MATHEMATICS program is designed to provide students with the necessary mathematical skills to succeed in college. The program offers a range of courses to help students develop their mathematical abilities, from basic mathematics preparation to advanced algebra.
Course Descriptions
- CCDM 100 N. Mathematics Preparation for College Success: A mathematics skills course designed for college students with insufficient math skills for success in CCDM 103N. The course may be repeated for a maximum of 4 credits.
- CCDM 103 N. Pre-Algebra: A course that covers fundamental mathematics operations and arithmetic computations, introduction to algebra, and applied geometry. The course provides laboratory and individualized instruction.
- CCDM 105 N. Mathematics Preparation and Pre-Algebra: A total immersion course that combines CCDM 100N and CCDM 103N using tutorials, manipulatives, and classroom instruction. Completion of this course is equivalent to the completion of CCDM 100N and CCDM 103N.
- CCDM 107 N. Pre-Algebra Fast-Track: An intensive review of fundamental mathematics operations and arithmetic computations, as well as introductory concepts of algebra and applied geometry. Students must meet eligibility requirements, and the course is graded as S/U.
- CCDM 108 N. Beginning Algebra Fast-Track: An intensive review of fundamental algebra topics, including algebraic expressions, solving linear and quadratic equations, factoring, radicals, and exponents. Students must meet eligibility requirements, and the course is graded as S/U.
- CCDM 112 N. Developmental Algebra I: A course that covers fundamental algebra operations, algebraic expressions, solving linear equations, systems of equations, and applications of linear equations. The course provides laboratory instruction.
- CCDM 113 N. Developmental Algebra II: A course that covers fundamental algebra operations, polynomials, factoring, solving quadratics by factoring, rational expressions, exponents, and radical expressions. The course provides laboratory instruction.
- CCDM 114 N. Algebra Skills: A course that covers fundamental algebra operations, including algebraic expressions, solving linear and quadratic equations, factoring, radicals, and exponents. The course provides laboratory and individualized instruction.
