The Mechanical Drafting and Solid Modeling program is an Associate of Applied Science degree that focuses on mechanical drafting, machine/manufacturing fundamentals, basic mechanical design, parametric solid modeling, and animation.

Program Requirements

• Students in the Drafting and Design Technologies options are required to own or purchase a windows-based computer or laptop with a webcam and microphone.
  • The approximate cost of the computer or laptop is $1,400.
  • The device must be capable of running the software packages utilized in the program.
• Students should refer to the department for minimum computer or laptop technical specifications and requirements.
• Drafting and Design Technologies students are also required to have and maintain reliable broadband internet access.
