The "China-UK Interdisciplinary Innovation Talent Training Program in Biomedical and Bioenergy Engineering" is a collaborative project between Huazhong Agricultural University and Cardiff University, approved by the China Scholarship Council. The program aims to cultivate innovative talents in the field of biomedical and bioenergy engineering.

Program Overview
The program is a 3-year project, with 7 students and faculty members to be selected and funded each year to study or conduct research at Cardiff University.
Selection Criteria
The program has the following selection criteria:
- Eligibility: Applicants must be Chinese citizens, have excellent political quality, be physically and mentally healthy, and have no record of violating laws or regulations.
- Language Requirements: Applicants must meet the language requirements of the program, which include:
- English Language Proficiency: Applicants must have a good command of English, with a minimum language proficiency score as required by Cardiff University.
- Language Requirements for Different Types of Applicants:
- Joint Ph.D. Students: Must participate in interviews or exams organized by Cardiff University and meet the language requirements for admission.
- Senior Researchers, Visiting Scholars, and Postdoctoral Researchers: Must participate in interviews or exams organized by Cardiff University and meet the language requirements for admission.
- Age Limits:
- Senior Researchers: Must be under 55 years old (born after January 1, 1971).
- Visiting Scholars: Must be under 50 years old (born after January 1, 1976).
- Postdoctoral Researchers: Must be under 40 years old (born after January 1, 1986).
- Joint Ph.D. Students: Must be under 35 years old (born after January 1, 1991).
- Work Experience:
- Visiting Scholars: Must have at least 5 years of work experience after graduating from university.
- Postdoctoral Researchers: Must have a doctoral degree and be engaged in teaching or research work.

Selection Process
The selection process includes:

- Final Selection: The final selection will be made based on the interview results and the applicants' academic background, research experience, and language proficiency.
Funding and Support
The China Scholarship Council will provide funding for the selected applicants, including:
- Tuition Fees: The council will cover the tuition fees for the selected applicants.
- Living Allowance: The council will provide a living allowance for the selected applicants.
- Travel Expenses: The council will cover the travel expenses for the selected applicants.
