Program Overview
The Visual Communication Design program is designed to cultivate high-quality, innovative talents with a strong sense of social responsibility and international vision. The program aims to equip students with a solid foundation in professional knowledge, outstanding visual design abilities, and expertise in serving the "three rural" areas (agriculture, rural areas, and farmers).
Program Objectives
The program has five main objectives:
- To cultivate students with a strong sense of social responsibility, excellent professional ethics, and a commitment to serving the "three rural" areas.
- To equip students with a solid foundation in professional knowledge, including visual communication design, brand research, visual culture, and design planning and management.
- To develop students' team collaboration, project management, and leadership abilities, as well as their ability to apply new technologies, products, and methods in the field of art design.
- To foster students' international vision, understanding of the development trends in the field of art design, and mastery of basic theories and knowledge in art design.
- To cultivate students' innovative spirit, ability to adapt to changing environments and technologies, and capacity for lifelong learning.
Graduation Requirements
Graduates of the program should possess:
- A high level of ideological and political awareness, as well as a strong sense of social responsibility and mission.
- A solid foundation in design academics, art theory, and related knowledge, as well as the ability to apply this knowledge to solve complex design problems.
- The ability to analyze problems, identify key issues, and propose effective solutions.
- The ability to design and develop innovative solutions that meet specific needs, considering factors such as society, health, safety, humanity, culture, aesthetics, environment, and ethics.
- Professional research abilities, including the capacity to conduct scientific research, analyze and interpret data, and draw effective conclusions.
- The ability to use modern tools and technologies, including design software, information technology, and other relevant resources.
- The ability to evaluate the impact of design practices on society, health, culture, environment, and sustainable development, and to understand the responsibilities involved.
- Good team collaboration and project management abilities, as well as the capacity to work effectively in a team and communicate with others.
- Good language skills and communication abilities, including the ability to express ideas effectively, write reports and design schemes, and engage in discussions and exchanges with others.
Program Structure
The program has a four-year duration and grants a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Communication Design. The total credit requirement is 146 credits, with 32 credits allocated to practical teaching.
