Program Overview

The Koordynator i Audytor Dostpnoci (Coordinator and Auditor of Accessibility) program is designed to prepare specialists in accessibility who can take on roles as accessibility coordinators equipped with interdisciplinary knowledge and broad skills. The program aims to enable graduates to analyze situations and needs of people with disabilities, assess the accessibility of environments and services, plan and coordinate actions to improve accessibility, and collaborate with various entities to implement accessibility measures.

Program Description

The program is addressed to individuals who want to work as accessibility coordinators, as well as those interested in digital, architectural, communicational, and informational accessibility. The program covers a wide range of topics, including:

• Analysis of situations and needs of people with disabilities
• Assessment of accessibility in various environments and services
• Planning and coordination of actions to improve accessibility
• Collaboration with different entities to implement accessibility measures
• Monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of accessibility actions

Program Structure

The program consists of 17 modules, including:

1. Policies of accessibility, anti-discriminatory education, and the European Accessibility Act (EAA)
2. Legal aspects of accessibility, regulations concerning people with disabilities, and inclusive language
3. Introduction to accessibility issues and the role of an accessibility coordinator
4. Introduction to digital accessibility, creation of accessible documents, and digital accessibility audit
5. Informational and communicational accessibility, audit of informational and communicational accessibility
6. Architectural accessibility, study visit, and architectural accessibility audit
7. Easy-to-read text and alternative communication methods
8. Accessibility in public procurement, the Accessibility Plus program, and funding for accessibility
9. Basics of Polish sign language and communication with deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals
10. Certification and audit of accessibility
11. Accessibility of promotion and customer service for individuals with different needs
12. Universal design and assistive technologies
13. Accessibility in education, employment, sports, tourism, culture, and transportation
14. Accessibility of municipalities and rural areas, and cooperation with local communities and NGOs
15. Basics of audio description and alternative texts
16. Organization of accessible events and evacuation of individuals with special needs
17. Summary of classes and final exam

Graduate Profile

Graduates of the program will possess specialized knowledge and skills in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating accessibility actions for people with disabilities in various areas of social life. They will be able to:

• Create and implement plans to improve accessibility in various institutions
• Design and coordinate the implementation of accessibility solutions in architecture, transportation, digital technologies, information, and communication
• Evaluate and test accessible solutions and coordinate their implementation
• Plan, organize, and manage projects related to accessibility
• Use tools and technologies that support accessibility
• Communicate effectively with people with different needs and requirements
• Represent the interests of people with disabilities and work towards creating a more accessible and inclusive society

Career Opportunities

Graduates can work as accessibility coordinators, managers, specialists, consultants, or specialists for people with disabilities in various sectors, including public institutions, companies, NGOs, and government administration.

Additional Information

• Duration: 2 semesters (March 2026 - February 2027)
• Admission criteria: The admission decision is based on the order of applications.
• Number of places: 25-35
• Tuition fee: 5,500 z (payable in two installments: 3,000 z and 2,500 z)

• Diploma of higher education (for inspection - to certify its copy as consistent with the original)
• Proof of payment for the first semester of studies (no later than 14 days before the start of classes)
