Program Overview

Program Overview

The postgraduate program in Environmental Protection against Noise and Vibration is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles of acoustics and vibration, as well as the methods for measuring and assessing their impact on human health and the environment.

Program Description

The program covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • The basics of acoustics and vibration theory
  • The sources of noise and vibration, and their impact on human health and the environment
  • Methods for measuring and assessing noise and vibration
  • Materials and systems with acoustic properties, and their applications in noise reduction
  • Regulations and standards for noise and vibration in Poland and the European Union

Program Structure

The program is divided into two semesters, with the following courses:

Semester 1:

  • Fundamentals of acoustics
  • Fundamentals of vibration and vibroisolation theory
  • Vibroacoustic hazards
  • The impact of vibration and noise on human health
  • Methods for measuring vibration and noise
  • Calibration of measurement transducers
  • Quality management, accreditation, and certification
  • Acoustic materials and systems
  • Regulations in Poland and the EU
