Raw Materials Value Chain (ILiGZ) Program
The Raw Materials Value Chain (ILiGZ) program is a second-cycle, master's degree offered by the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management at AGH University of Science and Technology. This field of study was ranked #1 in its category in the Perspektywy 2025 Ranking.
Program Description
The RaVeN double degree program is a four-semester, EIT-Labelled master's program in cooperation with academic partners, including AGH University of Science and Technology, Technische Universit酹 Bergakademie Freiberg, and Technical University of Koice, as well as non-academic partners. The program offers an innovative educational program based on a comprehensive, sustainable, and circular approach to raw materials, combining highly specialized knowledge with strongly entrepreneurial attitudes.
Admission Criteria
To be eligible for the program, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree with a required study duration of at least six semesters (180 ECTS credits) in a field of study such as:
- Geology
- Mining Engineering
- Mineral Processing
- Environmental Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgy
- or similar
Candidates must also successfully complete an entrance examination or an entrance examination for foreigners who apply for admission on the basis of the AGH UST Rector's decision. The examination includes questions verifying basic knowledge in the area of raw materials and the raw materials value chain, along with an examination of entrepreneurial potential.
Program Structure
The program is divided into four semesters, with the first, second, and fourth semesters held at AGH, and the third semester held at TUBAF. The program includes lectures, study visits, and winter industrial internships, as well as a summer school.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fee at TUBAF is 188 (obligatory) and 300/semester (only for applicants who already hold a master's degree).
Degree Awarded
Upon successfully completing the program, students receive two diplomas from prestigious European universities: MAGISTER INYNIER (AGH) and MASTER OF SCIENCE (TUBAF), as well as the EIT Label Certificate.
Career Path
The program is designed to prepare students with up-to-date, specialized practical knowledge on the sustainable exploitation of raw materials throughout the value chain. Graduates will become technical experts in the field of raw materials, aware of sustainability and gaining a holistic view of the value chain and processes. Their skills and knowledge will be highly valued in the mining and processing, metallurgy, energy, automotive, and logistics sectors.
