Health, Safety, and Fire Safety Training for PhD Students

The Health, Safety, and Fire Safety training for PhD students at AGH University of Science and Technology is provided in accordance with Regulation No. 36/2012 of the Rector of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow on training in the field of occupational health and safety.

Training Structure

The training consists of two parts:

• Guided independent study as a UPEL e-learning course
• Real-time online training on the MS Teams platform

Part 1: Guided Independent Study

The first part of the training is a guided independent study available on the UPEL platform. To access the course, students must use their login details from their email account. The enrolment key for the UPEL e-learning course is HSFST-2026-PhD-4.

Part 2: Real-Time Online Training

The second part of the training is a real-time online meeting on the MS Teams platform. The meeting is scheduled for January 26, 2026, at 4:30 pm. Students must attend this meeting to complete the training.

Requirements for Completion

To successfully complete the Health and Safety training with the fire safety part, students must complete both parts of the training:

• Complete the guided independent study on the UPEL platform
• Attend the real-time online meeting on the MS Teams platform

Important Notes

• Logging in and out after a few minutes will not result in receiving any credit for attendance.
• It is imperative that students remain present throughout the training session to receive credit.
• During the training at the MS Teams meeting, students will be asked to complete a questionnaire with their name, surname, album number, and Faculty. This will allow for more efficient verification of their participation in the training.

Additional Health, Safety, and Fire Safety Training Session

An additional Health, Safety, and Fire Safety training session for PhD students will be delivered in the winter semester 2025/2026. The session will consist of:

• Part one: Self-directed learning delivered in the UPEL course (available until January 31, 2026)
• Part two: Real-time online meeting on MS Teams at January 26, 2026, at 4:30 pm.

Closing Date for the 1st Part of Health, Safety, and Fire Training

The closing date for the first part of the Health, Safety, and Fire Safety training (UPEL course) is January 31, 2026, at 11:59 pm.
