Program Overview
Introduction to the Academy of Didactics
The Academy of Didactics is a comprehensive program designed to enhance the teaching skills of academic staff. The program consists of three levels, each tailored to meet the needs of participants at different stages of their academic careers.
Academy of Didactics [Level 1]
Target Audience
- Persons newly employed in teaching and research positions
- Individuals who have not previously participated in teaching development programs at AGH and do not have confirmed pedagogical and didactic training
Program Overview
The entire program encompasses 38 hours of teaching, spread over two semesters within a given academic year. The program is divided into four thematic modules, covering topics such as:
- The specifics and strategies of adult learning
- The role of the teacher in the teaching process
- Planning and designing teaching activities in a technical university
- Modern teaching methods and techniques
- The use of various educational materials
Additionally, participants will conduct a teaching session based on a previously prepared syllabus and participate in two peer hospitations. Each participant will also have the opportunity to receive individual methodological consultations.
Academy of Didactics [Level 2]
Target Audience
- Persons who have completed Level 1 of the Academy of Didactics
- Individuals who have completed other pedagogical and didactic courses and wish to continue their active development in teaching
Program Overview
This advanced level includes methodological and tool-based training from the current training offer of CeLiID. Participants will independently plan their development path in the field of academic teaching. The program requires the completion of:
- The E-learning Academic Certification training
- At least 2 methodological trainings
- 1 tool training
- 1 training on creating resources
Completing this level provides access to Level 3, the School of Academic Trainers.
Academy of Didactics [Level 3]
Target Audience
- Persons who have completed Levels 1 and 2 of the Academy of Didactics
- Individuals who are actively developing their skills in academic teaching and wish to develop their training skills
- Persons who have completed the School of Academic Tutors program and/or the Accredited Tutoring Practice
Program Overview
The third level, known as the School of Academic Trainers, focuses on developing methodological and training skills useful in managing group processes during teaching activities. The training covers areas such as:
- Communication
- Facilitation of meetings
- Group process management
Additionally, the program addresses issues related to supporting the learning process based on selected methods, including educational mentoring and tutoring.
