Program Overview


Program Overview

The Master's program in Materials and Technologies for the Automotive Industry is a second-degree, non-stationary program that is largely conducted in the form of e-learning, up to 50% of the required ECTS points. The program was created in response to the growing demand for qualifications among graduates of the first degree in the Faculty of Foundry Engineering. This demand is linked to the increasingly strong position of the Polish foundry industry in global car production.


Program Description

The program is tailored to meet the needs of global trends in the production of metal products using foundry technologies for the automotive industry. Graduates of this program will possess knowledge and experience that will make them competitive in the national and international job market. They will be prepared to take up employment in companies from the broadly defined automotive industry, research institutes, and also to run their own business.


Career Prospects

On the national market, where about 400 foundries operate, and on the EU market, where about 5,000 foundries function, there is a huge demand for Master's engineers with a foundry profile. Analysis of career paths shows that the majority (~80%) of graduates from the Faculty of Foundry Engineering find work in their profession already in the first year after completing their studies.
