Introduction to the Program

The River Sea University - UK Aberystwyth University "Environmental Science" Cooperative Education Program is a collaborative effort between the two institutions. This program focuses on providing students with a comprehensive education in environmental science, covering basic theories, knowledge, and skills in application, research, and management.

Program Objectives

The primary objective of this program is to cultivate high-level specialized talents with a strong foundation in environmental science. Students will receive training in basic research, applied research, and environmental management, enabling them to possess good scientific literacy and certain teaching, research, development, and management capabilities. They will also acquire basic knowledge and skills in resource conservation management, environmental monitoring, and environmental quality evaluation, as well as the ability to conduct environmental planning and management.

Program Curriculum

Students will spend four years studying on campus, with more than one-third of the courses taught by foreign teachers. The program adopts a joint teaching management and curriculum design between the two schools, using original overseas textbooks and bilingual teaching. Students also have the option to choose a 2+2 mode, where they can study abroad for the last two years and receive degrees and graduation certificates from both schools upon meeting the graduation requirements.

Expected Outcomes

They will possess a solid foundation in environmental science, international vision, cross-cultural communication skills, and strong application abilities in computer science, foreign languages, management, and other areas.
