Introduction to the Advanced English Program

The Advanced English Program at Yabanc Diller Okulu is designed to provide ITU undergraduate students with various English courses. The program aims to equip students with academic English skills, including research, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Program Overview

The Advanced English Program consists of a series of courses that aim to provide students with the academic English skills required for their undergraduate education and future careers. The courses included in the program are:

• ING 100
• ING 103
• ING 112A
• ING 201A Additionally, special courses are designed for students of the Turkish Music State Conservatory, including ING 105, ING 106, ING 205, and ING 206.

Rules and Regulations for ING-Coded Courses

The following rules apply to ING-coded courses:

• Student attendance must be at least 70% as per ITU regulations. This means that students cannot be absent for more than 12 hours in ING 100 and more than 8 hours in ING 112A and ING 201A.
• Assignments must be submitted on the designated due date during class hours. Failure to submit an assignment on time will result in a zero grade.
• Plagiarism will result in a zero grade for the assignment.
