Introduction to the Italian Language Program
The Italian language is a gateway to various opportunities, offering cultural richness, language advantages, professional and academic prospects, and a deep connection to music and art. Italy is home to numerous cultural heritage sites, and the language is considered one of the most beautiful in the world.
Program Overview
The ITU School of Foreign Languages Italian Department offers credited elective courses to all faculty students, excluding those enrolled in preparatory classes. The program aims to develop solid language skills for daily communication and professional use, starting from the beginner level and progressing to the upper-intermediate level.
Course Structure
The teaching program consists of six modules, designed to help students acquire proficiency in Italian and prepare them for the internationally recognized Italian language certification exam, CILS (Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera). The courses are fully compatible with the European Common Language Reference Framework (CEFR).
Courses
- ITA101: Beginner-level course for those with no prior knowledge of Italian. It is highly recommended for students starting to learn Italian.
- ITA102, 201, 202, 301, and 302: These courses are not suitable for beginner-level students. Students who believe they have the necessary level and wish to enroll in these courses are advised to contact the instructor beforehand.
