Program Overview


Program Overview

The Traditional Dance Graduate Program aims to educate individuals with a scientific, artistic, and research-oriented personality, enabling them to become qualified and respected experts in their field. The program focuses on developing students' theoretical and practical knowledge, performance skills, and systematic thinking in dance.


Program Objectives

The primary objectives of the Traditional Dance Graduate Program are to:


  • Educate students in the field of traditional dances, providing them with a strong foundation in theory and practice.
  • Enable students to develop their performance skills and systematic thinking in dance.
  • Foster creativity and innovation in the field of traditional dances.
  • Prepare students for careers in academic and artistic institutions, as well as in the private sector.

Program Structure

The Traditional Dance Graduate Program is designed to be completed in a maximum of 6 semesters. Each semester consists of 14 weeks of classes and 1 week of exams. The program is divided into two tracks: Thesis and Non-Thesis.


Thesis Track

The Thesis track requires students to complete 24 credits of coursework, with 12 credits of compulsory courses and 12 credits of elective courses. Students must also complete a thesis under the supervision of an academic advisor.


Non-Thesis Track

The Non-Thesis track requires students to complete 36 credits of coursework, with 18 credits of compulsory courses and 18 credits of elective courses. Students must also complete a final project or report.


Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must submit a portfolio of their previous work in the field of traditional dances.
  • Applicants must pass an oral exam as part of the admission process.
  • ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam) score is not required for admission.
