Preparatory Program

The Preparatory School of Foreign Languages offers four intensive English Language Prep Programs: P4-F (upper-intermediate), P3-F (intermediate), P2-F (pre-intermediate), and P1-F (elementary). Students are placed in one of these programs according to the scores they get in the Placement Test given at the beginning of the academic year. Those who complete the English preparatory program and pass the Proficiency Exam have the right to begin their faculty education.

Exemption From Program

Exemption from the program is possible through various English language exams. The valid English exams and minimum scores for undergraduate programs are as follows:

• ITU Proficiency: 2 Years, 60 74 / 100, 75 100 / 100
• TOEFL iBT: 2 Years, 72 90 / 120, 91 120 / 120
• PTE Academic: 2 Years, 55 - 74 / 90, 75 90 / 90

The university accepts certain English language exams for exemption from the preparatory program. The ITU-NC Equivalence Table for English Language Exams provides the details of the accepted exams and their equivalent scores.
