Introduction to the Joint Undergraduate Program

The Istanbul Technical University (Tﾜ) and the University of Strathclyde are launching a joint undergraduate program in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. This program is the result of a mutual cooperation agreement signed in 2016 and a strategic partnership agreement between the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering at the University of Strathclyde and the Faculty of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Tﾜ.

Program Details

• The program is designed for students who will spend their first two years at Tﾜ and their third and fourth years at the University of Strathclyde.
• Students will have the opportunity to work with faculty members from both universities, with one advisor from Tﾜ and one from the University of Strathclyde for their final projects.
• Successful students will receive a degree from the University of Strathclyde upon completion of their master's degree.

Program Benefits

• Students who achieve a grade point average of 70% or higher in their third year will be eligible for a ｣1000 scholarship.
• The program also provides opportunities for students to work with industry partners and participate in research projects.
• Additionally, one faculty member from Tﾜ will be supported to conduct research at the University of Strathclyde for six months, with funding covering travel, accommodation, and living expenses.
• Alternatively, the tuition fees for one PhD student from Tﾜ to study at the University of Strathclyde will be covered.
