Introduction to the Küresel Aratrmac Bütünleyici Projeleri (KÜRE) Program

The Küresel Aratrmac Bütünleyici Projeleri (KÜRE) program is designed to support high-impact scientific projects conducted by academics from our university, in collaboration with international researchers, under the TÜBTAK 2232-A/B International Leader and Young Researchers Program.

Program Objectives and Requirements

• The program aims to foster collaboration between our university's academics and international researchers, promoting high-impact scientific research.
• To be eligible, the project team must include a researcher who is the project leader of a TÜBTAK 2232-A/B International Leader/Young Researchers project.
• The project must demonstrate a clear relationship with the TÜBTAK 2232-A/B project.
• Projects solely focused on establishing research infrastructure or device procurement are not eligible. However, equipment purchases that support the project's research objectives can be considered.
• Projects that include international researchers and have a diverse team composition are encouraged.
• Each project team must include at least one work package led by an in-house academic advisor and comprising undergraduate students. It is preferable for this team to be part of a project team or student club that has been supported by LÖKAP-A/T or TÜBTAK 2209-A/B programs.
• A detailed impact analysis is expected for each proposed project to ensure high economic, environmental, and social impact.

Project Duration and Budget

• The project duration, including any extensions, cannot exceed 36 months.
• There are two budget categories:
  • KÜRE-T: Basic Research Projects, with a budget of 2,000,000 TL.
  • KÜRE-: Advanced Research Projects, with a budget of 4,000,000 TL.
• The budget for congress participation travel during the project period cannot exceed 5% of the project budget.

Project Output Requirements

• For KÜRE-T projects, it is expected that within two years after the project's completion, at least three research articles will be published in Q1 journals, including at least one in a journal ranked in the top 10% of its field according to Scopus indices.
• For KÜRE- projects, the expectation is for at least six research articles to be published in Q1 journals, with at least one in a journal ranked in the top 10% of its field, within two years after the project's completion.
• Supported projects must also undertake and document activities that enhance the platform's widespread impact during and after the project period. This includes maintaining an active web page for the platform, securing national or international press coverage, and conducting social impact and awareness activities.
