Course Details
The Professional Diploma in Sustainable Work is a one-year, part-time program designed to explore the intersection of digital transformation, sustainability, and new ways of working in the modern workplace. Co-created with industry partners through the Kemmy Business School WorkFutures Lab, the program blends cutting-edge research with practical insights to help professionals navigate technological change, design sustainable workplaces, and manage the evolving employment relationship.
Programme Content
- Complete part-time in one year
- Delivered online
- Modules taught during autumn (Sep – Dec) and spring semesters (Jan – May)
- Collaborate with peers across disciplines in a future-focused online project team
- Modules with (M) beside them can be taken as independent micro-credential
Year 1
Autumn Semester
- Sustainable Organisations and Decision-Making (PM5051) provides a deep contextual understanding of sustainability issues as they influence work and organisations in parallel with the digital transformation of the workplace.
- Introduction to Emerging Technologies (M) (EE6211) explores the scope of emerging technologies in industries and business.
- Future Focused Professional Portfolio 1 (MN5141) guides students in the organisation of a series of future-facing industry-relevant talks on technology and the future of markets and society more broadly.
Spring Semester
- Digital Transformation of Work and the Employment Relationship (PM5012) examines how technological advancements are shaping the employment relationship.
- Designing Work into the Future (PM5022) examines the key issues in motivation and performance as organisations move to different forms of work.
- Future Focused Professional Portfolio 2 (MN5152) fosters critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration, enabling students to navigate complexity and uncertainty in professional contexts.
Entry Requirements
- Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree (NFQ Level 8) with at least a second-class honour, grade 2 (2:2) in any discipline.
- Experience in the areas of decision-making, or managing people is desirable.
Fees
- EU: €4,950
- Please note that international study visas are only available to students studying full-time in Ireland. This programme does not qualify for a study visa.
Funding
- Springboard: Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria under Springboard+ can qualify for 90% or 100% funding subject to the availability of places.
