Overview
The aim and objectives of this module are to provide learners with an understanding of the main import and export security controls. Participants will understand their and their organizations' obligations in complying with these controls and understand the frameworks and structures both within the EU and internationally.

On the successful completion of this module, participants will be able to:
- Explain the 5 requirements for application to receive AEO status
- Describe countries currently with MRA status
- Demonstrate an understanding of monitoring required to ensure ongoing compliance
- Explain the benefits of joining the C-TPAT programme
- Demonstrate an ability to carry out simple risk mapping and risk assessments on the supply chain
Assessment
There is no final exam for this module. Learners will be assessed through 1-2 continuous skill-based assignments provided by the lecturer.
Entry Requirements
The program is open to managers and supervisors from a variety of disciplines or those aspiring to a managerial role with three to five years of organizational experience in a relevant field. Completion of an NFQ level 6 qualification or equivalent is required.
