Brief Description

Helping people stay well is a vital part of healthcare, and healthcare professionals play an important role in promoting health and reducing inequalities. This 12-week, Level 9 Micro-credential is for nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals who want to build confidence in supporting health and wellbeing as part of their everyday practice.

During this module, you will:

• Build a clear understanding of the core principles, values, and models of health promotion
• Explore how behaviour change theory can inform practice across healthcare settings
• Develop awareness of how health promotion programmes are planned, implemented, and evaluated
• Build skills to support people and populations in making positive, sustainable health choices

Key Information

This micro-credential will be delivered in a blended format over 12 weeks. You will be assessed using continuous online assessment with no final exam.

Entry Requirements

To help you to be successful on this course:

• You should be a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife on the current register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or a Registered Allied Health Professional.
