Brief Description

As people live longer, the need for coordinated, high-quality care in later life has never been greater. This 12-week, Level 9 Micro-credential is designed for registered nurses who want to deepen their knowledge of gerontological care and take a leading role in supporting older people across a range of healthcare settings.

Programme Content

During this module, you will:

• Learn how to coordinate and evaluate therapeutic interventions for older people
• Explore your role in promoting wellness, coaching and re-enablement
• Understand how to support care transitions across home, community, residential and acute settings
• Build ethical, person-centred leadership skills to support older people and their families
• Understand one's role within the interdisciplinary team in caring for older people and their families

• You will be assessed using continuous online assessment with no final exam
