MSc Advanced Practice (Midwifery)
The MSc Advanced Practice (Midwifery) is a two-year part-time programme designed for experienced registered midwives. The programme enables students to develop an expert knowledge base, complex decision-making skills, and clinical competencies required for advanced autonomous practice.

Brief Description
This blended learning programme includes academic modules and supervised clinical practice modules. It prepares students for advanced health assessments, prescribing, and decision-making in multidisciplinary teams. On successful completion, students will be eligible to apply to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) for registration as an Advanced Midwife Practitioner (RAMP) and Registered Midwife Prescriber (RMP).

Entry Requirements
- Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree (NFQ Level 8) with at least a second-class honours, grade 2 (2:2) in Midwifery (or Nursing).
- Be a registered midwife on the current register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
- Be engaged in practice as a registered midwife for at least three of the last five years, with a total of one year's full-time experience in the specific area of practice.
- Students are expected to work in a practice setting throughout the programme.
- Provide nomination and confirmation of a clinical supervisor/mentor and professional supervisor/mentor.
Fees
- EU: €6,000 per annum
- Non-EU: €6,000 per annum
- Year 2 fees are subject to change.
