Introduction to the Program

The MSc Psychology of Global Mobility, Inclusion and Diversity in Society, Erasmus Mundus, is a unique two-year, full-time joint Master's program. It equips students to understand and address the challenges of diversity and mobility in our societies.

Program Overview

The program is delivered jointly by the University of Limerick, ISCTE University Institute of Lisbon, the University of Oslo, and SWPS University. It provides training in cultural, social, and health psychology, enabling students to manage contemporary social and societal issues in an innovative, evidence-based, reflective, culturally sensitive, and sustainable way.

Program Structure

The program consists of two years of full-time study, with students choosing from three pathways:

• Path A: Culture and Diversity
• Path B: Mobility, Intervention, and Society
• Path C: Inclusion and Health

Each pathway involves studying at two European universities, with a summer school in cross-cultural methods and interventions at the University of Limerick. Students also complete a 300-hour internship and apply their skills in real-world settings.

Year 1

In Year 1, students study core modules, general electives, and methods electives, depending on their chosen pathway. The core modules cover topics such as cultural psychology, stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination, as well as the psychology of intercultural contact and communication.

Year 2

In Year 2, students pursue their internship and thesis at one of the two universities in their chosen path. They work on their master's thesis under the supervision of staff from a partner university, submitting it at the end of June, followed by a viva defense.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree (NFQ Level 8) with at least a second-class honor, grade 2 (2:2) in psychology. They should have successfully completed a minimum of 100 ECTS credits in psychology or equivalent experience in psychology and research methods.

Fees

The annual fees for the program are:

• EU: 4,500 per annum
• Non-EU: 9,000 per annum

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships

The program offers Erasmus Mundus scholarships, including full scholarships and partial scholarships. The final funded cohort of students will be enrolled in 2026.
