Program Overview
The University of Limerick hosted a workshop on Student Dignity and Respect for students. The event was organized by the HR-EDI Office, with support from UL Global, in response to requests from colleagues and students to enhance transparency of university policies.
Workshop Details
The workshop was held on February 17th and attended by 45 members from various departments, sectors, and students from the University of Limerick. The key topics covered during the workshop included:
- What is meant by respect, dignity, discrimination, harassment, bullying, and victimisation on campus
- How to recognise and report these issues, including real-life case studies
- How to support victims and become an active bystander
- The support services available to students
Workshop Delivery and Reception
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Niloufar Omidi and was well-received, with active participation from staff in diverse roles across the university.
