College of Dance

Introduction

The College of Dance was established by Joanna Banks in September 1990, to provide full-time training at the highest level for young Irish students.

Program Details

The College's two-year foundation course provides the intensive dance training needed for students wishing to pursue careers as professional dancers. Students are accepted by audition and undergo comprehensive training in:

• Classical Ballet
• Pilates
• Contemporary dance
• Jazz Dance
• Tap
• Vocal studies Lectures in Dance History, Anatomy, and Nutrition are also an integral part of the curriculum.

Content and Structure

The College of Dance Papers are currently being fully processed and catalogued. They will be made available in the coming months.
