Program Overview

James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program

The James C. Gaither Junior Fellows program selects a small number of uniquely qualified graduating seniors and recent graduates to work in D.C. for one year as research assistants to senior scholars at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Eligibility and Application

Graduating seniors and recent graduates are eligible to apply for the program. The application deadline for DU's nomination is December 1, 2025.

Program Details

• The program provides an opportunity for students to work as research assistants to senior scholars at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
• The program is located in D.C. and lasts for one year.
• A campus representative, Dr. Lindsay Lawton, Director of Scholar Development & Fellowship Advising, is available for advising appointments.
