Program Overview
Biology-Chemistry Program
The Biology-Chemistry program is an interdepartmental program offered at the University of New Brunswick. This program provides students with the opportunity to study biology and chemistry jointly, covering a broad base of topics in both departments, and can be tailored to individual student interests.
Program Overview
Courses in biology, chemistry, math, and physics will give students a knowledge of organisms (from the cellular level up to ecosystem level interactions) and how they can be understood and manipulated through application of chemical tools, techniques, and analysis at the molecular level. A selection of chemistry courses covering its main sub-disciplines will support student understanding of the relevant biochemical, medicinal, and pharmaceutical aspects of the program.
Program Options
The Biology-Chemistry program is available as a four-year Bachelor of Science degree with majors or honours program options in one of two streams:
- The Pre-Health Profession (PHP) stream
- The Comprehensive Stream
