Program Overview


Introduction to the Food Science and Engineering Program

The Food Science and Engineering program is a collaborative effort between Jiangnan University and Massey University in New Zealand. This program aims to cultivate high-level engineering and management talents with an international perspective.


Program Overview

The program adopts a "3+1" model, where students spend their first three years at Jiangnan University and their fourth year at Massey University. Upon completing the required credits and meeting the graduation requirements, students will receive a Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours degree from Massey University and a bachelor's degree from Jiangnan University. This program was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2020 and has since enrolled three cohorts of 146 students.


Program Objectives

The program aims to cultivate top-notch talents who can adapt to the "Healthy China" strategy and the transformation and upgrading of the food industry in the new era. These talents will be equipped to engage in research and development, production, and management of functional foods and special foods, as well as nutrition and health research, food nutrition popularization, and interdisciplinary research in food and medicine.
