Introduction

The university offers various programs for students, including international exchange opportunities. One such program is the overseas learning project at the University of California, Davis.

Program Details

• Exchange Time: The exchange program lasts for one academic year, from September 2023 to June 2024, including three quarters: autumn, winter, and spring.
• Course Load: Students are expected to take three courses per quarter, with each course worth 3-5 credits.
• Application Conditions:
  • Students must be in their third year of undergraduate studies.
  • The program is open to students from various majors, including food science, nutrition science, biological science, biochemical engineering, and more.
  • Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or above and have qualified for all courses.
  • Students must have a good command of English, with a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or TOEFL score of 80.
  • Students should love their country, be physically and mentally healthy, and have good communication skills.
  • Students must have a certain level of economic ability and meet the visa requirements.

Fees

• Tuition Fee: $24,250 per academic year, payable in one installment upon arrival at UC Davis.
• Accommodation Fee: Approximately $1,000 per month (students need to rent apartments off-campus as UC Davis does not provide on-campus accommodation).
• Food Fee: Approximately $450 per month.
• Insurance Fee: Approximately $1,000 per academic year.

• Required Documents:
  1. Jiangnan University Inter-University Exchange Student Application Form.
  2. Jiangnan University Inter-University Exchange Student Credit Recognition Application Form.
  3. Jiangnan University Overseas Exchange Student Recommendation Form.
  4. English version of the transcript.
  5. English version of the certificate of study.
  6. IELTS, TOEFL, and four/six-level score reports.
  7. Passport copy.
  8. Bank statement proving funds of $350,000 (which needs to be frozen until August 2023 for visa purposes).
• Application Procedure: Students submit their application materials to the college, which will then review and forward them to the relevant department.

Additional Information

Students who intend to apply should fill out the necessary forms and submit them to the college before the deadline. Due to the current tight schedule for US visa applications, students are advised to complete their online application as soon as possible.
