Admissions

To be admitted to the Biostatistics Graduate Certificate program, applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Prerequisite courses include Calculus I, II, III, computer programming experience, as well as one of the following courses: linear algebra, differential equations, or numerical analysis.


Admissions Process

    • Transcripts: Official transcripts from all post-secondary colleges and universities attended.
    • International Transcripts: Foreign Credential Evaluation (FCE) reports are required for international transcripts.
    • CV or Resume: A resume indicating education, work background, awards, scholarships/fellowships, and other relevant information.
    • Letters of Recommendation: Three references who can comment on the applicant's potential success at a graduate level.
    • Personal Statement: A brief essay outlining the applicant's interest in the program, career objectives, and other relevant information.
    • International Applicants: Official TOEFL or IELTS scores less than two years old.

Background Checks

A criminal background check is required prior to admitting students to graduate programs. The background check is completed by Validity Screening Solutions, and the applicant must pay a one-time fee.

The Technical Standards for the Biostatistics Graduate Certificate program include:
