Program Overview
Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program
The Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program at the University of Kansas Medical Center is a two-year program that accepts three fellows per academic year. The program has six approved fellowship positions available over each two-year period.
Application Process
The application process for the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program is as follows:
- Applications are accepted through the ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) for Applicants.
- A complete application includes:
- Up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Board Scores
- ECFMG (as applicable)
- Letter of recommendation from your program director
- Three letters of recommendation
- Personal statement
- Current photograph
- Official transcripts
- Please provide all required elements, as we cannot consider incomplete applications.
- Applicants may begin applying for the Infectious Diseases fellowship through ERAS in July of each year.
- Applications will be reviewed and interviews offered over the subsequent four months, with a start date of July the following year.
- Once ERAS closes, additional applications will be accepted only if positions remain available.

- The program accepts J-1 and H1-B visas.

- All program representatives -- faculty, staff, and trainees -- who take part in recruitment are trained to know which questions are appropriate to minimize undue stress and coercion on applicants.
