Introduction to the Southwest University 2026 Athlete Recruitment Program

Southwest University is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education, co-constructed by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Chongqing Municipal Government. It is a "Double First-Class" construction university, a "211 Project" university, and a "985 Project" university with innovative platforms for advantageous disciplines. To carry out the 2026 athlete recruitment work, the university has formulated this recruitment brochure in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education and the General Administration of Sports, combined with the university's actual situation.

Conditions for Recruitment

1. Support for the Leadership of the Communist Party of China and the Socialist System: No criminal record, no record of doping violations, no record of violating sports ethics and discipline.
2. Meeting the 2026 High School Enrollment Conditions: Obtaining a high school enrollment number from the place of origin.
3. Excellent Sports Achievements: Meeting one of the following conditions:
   • Breaking world records, Asian records, or national records (excluding youth records) in Olympic events.
   • Being awarded the title of International Level Athlete.
   • Being awarded the title of Athlete in football (11-a-side), basketball, or volleyball projects.
   • For other Olympic events (excluding football, basketball, and volleyball), being awarded the title of Athlete and participating in the highest level of competition listed in Annex 1, and achieving a top eight finish in world sports competitions, a top six finish in Asian sports competitions, or a top three finish in national sports competitions.

Registration Materials

1. Competition Award Certificate (Electronic Version)
2. Identity Card (Front and Back Electronic Version): If there is a former name, the personal household registration page (electronic version) should also be submitted.
3. Electronic ID Photo
4. No Criminal Record Certificate

These materials are submitted through the recruitment system, and the originals are kept by the athlete for inspection.

Registration Procedure and Assessment

1. Participating in High School Enrollment: Participating in the high school enrollment organized by the provincial-level enrollment examination institution (specifically implemented according to the requirements of each provincial-level enrollment examination institution).
2. Obtaining Athlete Technical Level Titles and Related Sports Achievements: Before the registration deadline, obtaining athlete technical level titles and related sports achievements that meet the recruitment conditions. Relevant information can be queried through the "Athlete Technical Level Information Query System".
3. Qualification Review and Comprehensive Interview: The university conducts qualification reviews based on the submitted registration materials. Athletes who pass the qualification review will participate in a comprehensive interview. The interview time and format will be notified separately.

Admission Procedure

• The list of athletes who have passed the comprehensive assessment will be publicized on the Southwest University undergraduate recruitment website. After the publicity, if there are no objections, the university will complete the school review in the "Athlete Recruitment System".
• Athletes can query the preliminary review results of the university through the recruitment system before 17:00 on February 4.
• The list of admitted athletes will be approved by the Ministry of Education, and the relevant provincial-level enrollment management departments and universities will handle the admission procedures according to regulations.

Relevant Requirements

1. Ensuring the Authenticity of Registration Materials: Once falsification is discovered, the recruitment qualification will be cancelled, and the provincial-level enrollment examination institution where the athlete is from will be notified to handle the situation. Registration must be done strictly according to the time, and late registrations will not be accepted.
2. Consequences of Withdrawing or Being Expelled: Athletes who apply for recruitment and are admitted, but then give up their admission qualification, drop out, or are expelled due to personal reasons, are generally not allowed to apply for recruitment again.

Tuition Fee Standard

• The tuition fee standard for 2025 is 8,000 yuan per student per year. The tuition fee standard for 2026 will be finalized according to the price department's approval.

Recruitment Supervision

• The athlete recruitment work is led by the university's enrollment and recommendation committee, and the university's disciplinary inspection and supervision department conducts full supervision.
