Introduction to the Southwest University 2024 Sports Training Program

The Southwest University, a key comprehensive university under the Ministry of Education, jointly constructed by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, is one of the first "Double First-Class" universities and a "211 Project" and "985 Project Advantageous Discipline Innovation Platform" construction university. The university is mainly located in Beibei District, Chongqing, and is a public ordinary higher education institution.

Enrollment Requirements

• Applicants must meet the 2024 high school enrollment requirements and have participated in the high school entrance examination organized by the provincial-level admission examination institution in their place of origin.
• Football, table tennis, volleyball, beach volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics, swimming, taekwondo, rugby, and chess require a first-level athlete (or above) technical level title. Other recruitment projects require a second-level athlete (or above) technical level title.
• The approval date for the applicant's level certificate is from January 1, 2014, to March 10, 2024, and is based on the data information published by the "National Sports Bureau Athlete Technical Level System".

Enrollment Method

• Registration and application are done through the "China Sports Culture and Education Network".
• Applicants must register and verify their athletic technical level information from February 1, 2024, 12:00 to March 10, 2024, 12:00.
• Applicants who have completed registration should apply from March 1, 2024, 12:00 to March 10, 2024, 12:00, sign the "Anti-Doping Commitment Letter", fill in their volunteer information, and pay the examination fee.

Examination Method

• The Sports Training program recruitment implements a combination of cultural exams and sports specialized exams.
• Cultural exams are organized by the provincial-level admission examination institutions and follow the relevant requirements for ordinary high school exams.
• Sports specialized exams are divided into projects and use national unified exams and regional unified exams. The exams are organized by institutions entrusted by the Sports Bureau and follow the "Ordinary Higher Education Sports Training, Wushu, and National Traditional Sports Professional Sports Specialized Exam Methods and Scoring Standards" (2024 edition).

Admission Method

• Admission is based on the comprehensive score of cultural exams and sports specialized exams.
• Cultural exam scores must not be lower than 180 points. For applicants with a first-level athlete title, the cultural exam score can be lowered by 30 points. For applicants with an athlete title, the cultural exam score can be lowered by 50 points.
• Sports specialized exam scores have different minimum requirements for different projects.
• The comprehensive score is calculated as (cultural exam score / 6) * 30% + sports specialized exam score * 70%. Applicants are admitted based on their comprehensive score, from highest to lowest, prioritizing first-choice applicants.

Tuition Fee Standard

• The 2023 tuition fee standard is 8,000 yuan per year. The 2024 tuition fee will be finalized based on the approval by the Chongqing Municipal Price Bureau.

Admission Review

• After admission, the university will conduct an admission qualification review and professional re-examination for new students. Those found to have falsified their qualifications or cheated on the exam will have their admission qualifications canceled.
