Methodology
Behavioral studies is a 120-credit master's program that is set up as a full-time program for two years. I am studying at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Sociology, Anthropology and ₫Jeology.
Goal
The goal of the course is for students to gain a broad academic understanding of social science research methods with an emphasis on quantitative research methods and market research.

The program has 120 credits and is set up as a full-time program for two years. There is a choice between the following electoral areas:
- Methodology
- Market research
Main objective
Students gain extensive academic knowledge of social science research methods with an emphasis on quantitative research methods and market research, and furthermore knowledge and understanding of the use of research.

The program provides access to a doctoral program.
Study requirements
Complete ₫arf 120 ECTS credits. Compulsory course 30e, restricted choice 30e and free choice 30e. The program generally ends with a 30e master's thesis, but students can apply to write a 60e thesis.

Admission requirements
Students must have completed a BA, B.Ed, or BS degree from the University of Iceland or a similar program with a first grade. It is also required that students have completed the following courses or equivalent: FÉL204G Behavioral studies: Research methods of social sciences and FÉL306G Statistics I. Foreign applicants, whose mother tongue is not English, must have a good command of the English language (TOEFL 79, IELTS 6.5).
Example of a job platform
A master's degree in behavioral science is widely used in business, both in the private sector and in the public sector. Part of the work of companies and organizations consists in collecting data and information that is sometimes processed. There is a greater need for people who can organize research and collect data and analyze it in a professional manner.
