Do you want to gain a deeper understanding of dental science? Do you want to do research? The Faculty of Dentistry offers a research-based graduate program leading to a doctoral degree.
Study
A doctoral program in dental science is a three- to five-year academic and practical research-based graduate program. The scope of a research project is 180e after completing an MS degree and 300e after completing a BS degree.
Admission requirements
- Candidate's degree in dentistry, MS degree or another degree that the research study committee deems to be equivalent or a master's degree.
- The goal is for the student to have a minimum grade of 7.25 in the main grade/level from the candidate's degree in dentistry, MS degree or equivalent program.
- It is allowed to deviate from the minimum grade rule if the applicant e.g. demonstrated study skills and/or skills in independent research.
