180 credits - Ph.D. degree

The program is a three-year academic graduate program (research-based graduate program) in tourism studies at the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences. The program is at least 180 credits and is a validated exam for the degree philosophiae doctor, Ph.D.


About studies

A doctoral program mainly consists of a study that ends with a doctoral thesis, which must be 180 credits. The doctoral program committee can require that a student in a doctoral program also complete courses. Credits for courses are added on top of the credits awarded for the doctoral project.


Admission requirements

  • Graduate studies: MS degree from the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences or equivalent.
  • Learn more about physical education in the curriculum.
