Program Overview
The AWE program, also known as the Frumkv—ÞlahraÞallinn, is set to commence on January 23, 2025, and conclude on April 30, 2025, with a graduation ceremony.
Dreambuilder
The Dreambuilder course is an online program consisting of thirteen lectures, totaling approximately 25 hours. The program offers flexibility, allowing participants to complete the course at their own pace.
Vinnulotur
The Vinnulotur is a workshop where participants gain insight and practical advice on various topics, including market research, company establishment in Iceland, networking, funding, intellectual property, social media, and other essential aspects of starting and developing a business.
Collaboration
The Dreambuilder course is offered in collaboration with the Thunderbird School of Management at Arizona State University, while the Vinnulotur is managed by the University of Iceland, in partnership with the Federation of Business Women in Iceland (FKA) and the Association of Foreign Women in Iceland.
Mentors
Mentors will be available to provide guidance and share their experiences as startup founders.
Mentor Profiles
- Fida Abu Libdeh: CEO and co-founder of GeoSilica, with a background in energy and environmental engineering and an MBA degree.
- She holds a degree in energy and environmental engineering and an MBA.
- Sandra Mj—ll Jµnsdµttir Buch: Entrepreneur and founder of several startups, with a Ph.D. in life and medical sciences.
- She works as an innovation-focused leadership coach at her own company, F—nn Consulting.
