Program Overview
The Biomedical Sciences degree program offers students the opportunity to gain theoretical and practical expertise in the cellular and molecular sciences. This program allows students to research important health issues, such as how cells turn cancerous and how genes influence aging. Through labs and real-world experiences with biomedical industry partners, students develop a deep understanding of molecular and cell biology, genetics and genomics, and microbiology.

This is a Grades-Only program. Admission decisions for Grades-Only programs are based on academic performance.
Academic Requirements for Full-Time, 4-Year Program
To be considered for admission, Ontario high school students must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- Completion of 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%
- Completion of the following required Grade 12 U courses (minimum grade of 70% in each):
- English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
- Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
- 2 of Physics (SPH4U), Chemistry (SCH4U) or Biology (SBI4U)
An overall average of 70% is required for consideration. Due to competition, the average needed for admission can fluctuate each year.
