Program Overview
The Law and Business program at Toronto Metropolitan University provides students with a strong integration of law and business, preparing them to identify and frame organizational problems from a legal perspective and develop business solutions.
Major Overview
The Law and Business major is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the legal aspects of business, including contract negotiations, human resources, risk management, policy development, and property transactions. The program also covers areas of increasing importance to business operations, such as corporate social responsibility and corporate governance.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the Law and Business program, students must complete a total of 40 credits, including required, required group or professional elective, professionally-related, and liberal studies courses.
Program Format
The program is offered in a full-time and part-time format, with students able to complete their degree at their own pace. The part-time program is designed to accommodate students who intend to take the degree at a slower pace due to daytime employment and/or family obligations.
Degree Earned
Students who complete the Law and Business program will earn a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree.
