Introduction to Urban Water TMU

The Urban Water TMU program focuses on various aspects of water management, including wastewater, stormwater, freshwater science, and governance. The program also explores green infrastructure and its applications.

AquaHacking Program

The AquaHacking program is an annual event that brings together multidisciplinary teams to develop environmentally sustainable solutions to water issues. The program focuses on issues such as:


  • Water Crisis Prediction and Adaptation
  • Real Time Reporting of Sewage Overflow and Untreated Sewage Spills
  • Tackling Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals
  • Phosphorus Capture and Recycling in Farming Prizes for the program include up to $25,000 in cash and 360° mentorship for finalists.

Student Participation

Urban Water TMU partnered with AquaHacking 2018 as a recruitment facilitator to secure student participation. Eighteen students signed up for the event, which kicked off on March 21st.
