Master of Specialization in Nuclear Medicine

The Master of Specialization in Nuclear Medicine is a program designed to prepare medical doctors for specialization in nuclear medicine. The program is organized by the Faculty of Medicine and is offered in French.

Conditions of Access

The conditions of access to the Master of Specialization in Nuclear Medicine are as follows:


  • Hold a degree in medicine or a related field
  • Hold a master's degree in medicine or a related field
  • Have a document attesting to selection as a specialist in nuclear medicine in a Belgian medical faculty
  • For candidates with a diploma from outside the European Union, access is possible only within the framework of a partial specialized university certificate of two years (if they are in the process of specialization in their country of origin) or an advanced specialized training of one year (if they are already recognized specialists in their country)

Access with Equivalent Diploma

Access is possible for holders of a foreign diploma recognized as equivalent to a master's degree in medicine or a related field, under the same conditions.


Access by Jury Opinion

Access is possible by opinion of the jury, for candidates who meet the conditions set by the jury. The jury determines the additional courses and any exemptions that constitute complementary access conditions for the student.


Validation of Acquired Experience

The jury can validate knowledge and skills acquired through professional and/or personal experience and grant access to the Master's program to anyone who does not fall into the categories listed above.
